Dave, thanks for the decode. Some good info. I picked up the car off a farm in Langenburg Sask, so it was likely sold out of Regina, as you mentioned.

This a rare beastie! It seems that the 'W' was added in 1936, as I have yet to find any '35 cars so designated. Please look after her: after having written about the Regina Plant I have a big soft spot and interest in Regina-delivered and assembled cars & trucks.

To all, I want to thank all who assited in providing information regarding the engine in my 1939 Pontiac Arrow model. It is now for sale on e-bay with a tear in my eye. Pictures are on the listing if anyone is interested. This is a great Site with fantastic people.

Yes, it is sad, however the car will sell as there is no reserve. Only thing I hope is that it goes to a good home.

I have a 1939 Master deluxe RIGHT HAND DRIVE here in the UK I believe it may have been made in Canada. the id plate just says T.SEDAN DL 804 1939 8 and above this 315.
Any help would be appreciated Jim

I'm very pleased to see the picture of my car on this site, see picture 1930 Regina car.
I have the following information : the car was bought new in the Netherlands on may 16 1930, in Hilversum by H Bensman. The garage was owend by the former chauffeur of his father. He had a garage with the name Gerritsen & Petrus in Hilversum. H Bensman owned the car till his death in 1969. His wife kept the car till her death in 1989, but didn't used it. Then the car was sold and the second owner kept it till 2005 and he didn't used the car either. He kept it stored. Unfortunatly he had a fire in his office and all the papers (Titles) burned in that fire, but the car was undamaged. We bought the car in 2005, so we are the third owners. The car has his original engine and the only thing that is restored is the interior. It is a pleasure to drive with "the Old Lady". And we hope that we can do that for quite a while!!
If anyone in the Netherlands has a picture of the car please contact me!! The old licenceplate was : RX-88-61 and before that G 179

Happy new year all
I've got the engine out of my 41 (the rear frost plug rusted out ) and I'm trying to determine if it's the original motor. The id tag on the car is 1-101981370, engine # 3678768. the numbers on the block are as follows casting # 7 339253 , E 13 0 , stamped sn 2804214. from what I can gather, the block was cast May 13, 1940, but I don't know if the number on the block should correspond the the ID plate on the car. Any help would be appreciated.

 David Ive got the motor back in and running great, had to make up a new linkage arm to get 1st/rev as the old one was just too worn. But back on the topic of engine data. The engine in my regina built 41 is date stamped may 13 1940. was is practice in canada to throw in whatever they had lying around. I was looking at water pump differences yesterday, and my motor definatly has a 1949 water pump on it, so it's probably a 1940 motor. Would this have been factory installed, or done later.

Regina cars are rare, and 1941 cars the rarest of the rare as production ended by July 1st 1941. I now know of two 1019 sedans; here is the other:
MODEL 1019
SERIAL# 1-101981296
ENGINE# 3,678,496
TRIM 342 PAINT CODE 143
BLOCK# 839253
There were only 5150 cars built in Regina that year.
The engine number should be the same between the block and the plate.

I am still looking for info on my 36 chevy pu, or I bought it as this. I am sure of the radiator and grill, it is a '36. but, what numbers I can come up with, the cab is a '37. Here is what I came up with. The ID tag is on the right side floor next to the seat.
Body style GC 415
Zone 2
Date 1037
serial# 14GC09-10850, these last numbers are hard to read. Hope you can help Keep up the good search we all need it . And I know it can be a nightmare. I have searched and searched. This old info we come up with is hard to read and understand,,,thanks Dad

I'm a newbie to the site and have come across a puzzle that I'm currently stuck on.
The car is a 1940 Chevrolet Business Coupe. The serial number listed on the ownership is 2722133 which I do not believe to be valid. A body tag is mounted on the firewall on the right side and appears to have been made from two very neatly vertically cut plates and reassembled. The plate identifies the car as a model 1214 (Master 85 business coupe) and the car does have a straight front axle. The body number shown is S 494, with a trim code that appears to be "86" very poorly stamped, and a paint code of "273". The car has exterior trim of a Special Deluxe, which I also don't believe. If there is a serial number plate on this car I am unable to find it. Finally, the engine number near the dipstick tube I believe to be KAA254222.
I think I'm looking at a Canadian built Master 85 business coupe, but beyond that I have no idea where to proceed next.
ANY help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Hi
I have imported from South Africa to the UK two 1941 special deluxe sedans.
The engine no. on one is AAR99337 and serial no. XGCAH113508 , the other is AAR773655 and serial no. XGCAH123183.
I wonder if someone can advise me on where these would have come from originally , both are right hand drive.
