Ok, there are the round side mirrors, and the rectangle side mirrors... then there are the West Coast style side mirrors...

Which are still available new it seems:

http://www.cipamirrors.com/truck.htm

But what are the dimensions of the mirrors on the West coast style? These measurments and descriptions below are from the above link.

There is "6 x "16 'full head' in aluminum...

Then "7 x "16 'Universal OEM style' in various finishes...

Then the West Coast Jr in 5" x 10" in stainless steel.

I kinda like the 'big honking truck mirrors'.

Thanks all...

Believe it or not, I DO TOO. My truck NEVER HAD a rear-view mirror on the inside. Woogeroo, the more you can see the betta, ya? These are TRUCKS...you use yours as a truck. I can see little tiny dot mirrors on a smooth custom rig though, I doubt if Kieth has plans for big honkin' West Coast mirrors (-;

I used to drive big trucks, and big mirrors were important if you wanted to know what's going on around you. BUT they do cause a blind spot, they're just the right size to hide a pedestrian.
A gazillion different mirrors... stock or hot ??? I've had stock rectangles for years and they seen to do what they're saposta do, and still maintain the look of the "era".

ps::: forget mirrors, have cameras with monitors inside the cab.

Chevy offered Junior West Coast Mirrors on their bigger trucks, and as an accessory for their light trucks. My '65 C-20 came standard with them and no center rear view mirror [a head scratcher for my state inspector]. Golden State Truck Parts sells a new set, virtually identical to the originals [check under "New Parts"]. Thye are also featured in their new catalog. The ones offered by CIPA are the same offered by JC Whitney and are not the original style. As for size, Junior West Coast are the typical mirrors you see on light trucks, regular West Coast Mirrors are the ones you see on big rigs and would be a little overkill on a light truck.

These are the ones offered by Golden State

How BIG do you want to go? I have those big ugly things on my truck, but the door is starting to crack were the mount on the lower part. I use to have some pics posted in one of my webshot albums, but can't find them now, so I'll repost them in THIS ALBUM so check in out in an hour or so.

Hey Woog! Mine are just 5 x 7's. It looks like there have never been any other mirrors on this truck.

jtruck,
That is too cool!
Mirrors with their own panhard rods!
Does look as though they do the job.
