Didn't want to double-post, but somehow I completely forgot about the "show off your truck" sticky thread! Snapped a new pic of the trucks today. Of course right after I put the camera away and parked the trucks, the sun came back out.. !

Lowgear: pretty cool looking truck! Too many "dealer" customs lean to the weirdish multiple color stripe jobs. The monochome silver on your truck looks *really* sharp!

and welcome to CT!

That's the fun part anyhow

Thats kinda what my engine currently looks like. Going to have the heads off this wknd hopefully and hopefully there isn't any excessive damage when I get them off, so that I can just have them freshened up and throw them back on so that I can get it running for the first time in my posession.

Nice trucks though guys!! Maybe I can grab a few shots of mine this weekend while we are working on it and I'll post em up.

It snowed the other day and my brother took a video of my doing a few donuts. I will have to admit the donuts are pretty terrible, but you can hear what my Yukon sounds like. The snow was very heavy and my tires are going bald .

Mine have changed enough I figure it's time for some new pics, but this thread has gotten pic-heavy so I'm just going to provide a couple links.

Just last night I removed the wheel well trim from the Sub so I could clearance the fender lips (was getting a little bit of rub on sharp dips) and today I got the front door windows tinted. Maybe one of these days I'll get some better pics, these keep coming out crummy!

Yep, it's next on the chopping block! My buddy is going to paint it for me; probably dropping it off with him at the end of the month. He argued with me a little bit about the side molding, until I told him "Look - it's MY truck; we're doing it MY way." I did agree with him on doing the mirrors body-color though instead of black, since this is how the other truck is done and I do like it.

I'm leaving it with him so he has time to take his time. Since the clearcoat is peeling a little bit at the window edges, etc. he's blowing the entire truck apart to do it *right*.

In fact, I'm leaving town in a few hours for TN again so I can look at places to rent. Dad's coming by in the big truck since he had a delivery here in Houston, and has to be back in TX early next week to close on property he's selling - so I'm just tagging along for the ride.

Full repaint, Al, the original deep metallic blue. It's peeled a little bit on the hood, has a few parking lot dings that will require minor bodywork, and it looks like the driver's side passenger door has been hit & replaced (when I had the door panel off, the inside of the door was black - not body color - and had a "GM Parts" sticker) when they did the work they seemed to do a nice job of painting it but it didn't hold up as well as the rest of the truck; you can see primer through the paint in some spots and the clear peeled badly on the one door.

I really, really, really wanted to change it to black - but my buddy talked me out of it. I don't hate blue but would like black better. Anyway it'll be the factory color but no wheel moldings, no rubber side molding, no emblems (except GMC in grille) and we'll color match the side mirrors.

sounds like a good plan to me richard. black sure would look nice though. eventually i'll repaint my truck, its showing its age on the hood. i decided to go with gm's blue-green crystal (i think that is what it was called). it is on a new gmc denali right up from my work, the color changes from a deep blue to a dark green. anyhow, can't wait to see the burb all debadged and shiny!

Wow...this thread has grown alot! Hey, what is the part number for? GM Parts? Aftermarket? If the offer is still there, Ill take it...my truck needs some more uplifting in style.

Well, I just recently got some new stepbars for my truck to replace the old and damaged running boards I had. It looks sharp. My dad and I even straightened out my front bumper. (someone backed into my truck and pushed it in on the passenger side...plastic bumpers do work!!!) I gave it a wash and it was beautiful for the longest time...until the rains and winds hit El Paso once again...When I get ahold of another Digital Camera, Ill post the pics of her current state. My 95 now has 127,500 I believe. I still love the sound of my glasspack...if only I can get a sound of it.
