Working on a 60 Impala and need to replace the radiator. I have had good luck with Cold Case on other cars, so I wanted to use one of theirs, however they do not list one for a 60. I called and they said that a 61 may fit. Has anyone used a 61 in a 60? If so, how did it fit? Any problems?
Thanks!

FWIW, rock auto list the same part number for a 60 and 61. Check other vendors to see if they agree like hubbards etc.

Thanks!. I'll do some more checking. ECP says that if you use a mechanical fan with theirs then you have to use a 65 to 68 fan shroud. That makes no sense to me!

They must have a weird rad if a 65-68 shroud works- or they don’t know what they are talking about? If you have a small block, use a small block shroud for a 59-63. Check out Show Cars in MN for pics of shrouds and rads too.

I didn't understand either. Talked to Cold Case again today, about 99% sure theirs will work, they have a black alum. one now that looks really nice. About ready to order lots from Show Cars, dealt with them before, really good to work with.
Thanks!

Forgot to add, it is a 348 tri power. I also have a 59 small block shroud in addition to the one for the 348.

The short 348 shroud, definitely different than the 65 up shrouds!! Check the mounting bolt holes on the CC one, plus do you have a stock steering box? If you have changed out to a 605 or other, be careful- the rad may need a notch to clear it. Show Cars sells those I think- I have stock PS in my 409 so no expert in the aftermarket PS.

Radiator has a couple of spots that look like they need repair. Owner would rather spend a little more and go with an aluminum one. Repairs have been running around $ 200.00, got the Cold Case for $339.00.

Got the Cold Case radiator today. Test fit, fits ok, lower bolt holes will need a little massaging. Biggest problem is the lower outlet is not in the same spot as the one I removed, about 2" more to the center. Will have to find a hose for it.
Actually, the biggest problem is for some reason I thought they were made in the USA, made in China sticker on the box. Kinda disappointed, but I have had good luck with them in other cars, so we'll see.
