I have a complete bumper from a '66 Impala Station Wagon that I paid $1600 to have restored by Restoration Plating in Spokane WA. Unfortunately, it won't fit my car, which is a convertible. Long story short, but I bought the bumper over 20 years ago since mine had damage, and had it plated last year since I'm finally getting around to the part of assembly where I needed the chrome. I also have the brackets from the wagon bumper that have been sand blasted and powder coated.
So, I'm interested in fielding any offers for the bumper. It's likely I could use the end pieces on my car, which may save me some money when getting mine restored and re-plated. I would take $1500 for it right now, and any less I'll have to consider whether it's more cost effective to just restore my center section or whether I'll pay to have all three parts re-chromed. I'd prefer to find somebody who wants the whole thing, but I realize this is quite a bit to spend. I know this is a hard sell, especially if somebody can't see it in person. I often go to Spokane and the Seattle area, so I'd be willing to meet somebody in either of those areas so they can inspect it before buying.
I'm expecting to take a loss on this, just want to minimize the loss and hopefully find somebody who is looking for a Station Wagon bumper.
