My son has a 2001 Cavalier and the front turn signals quite working. It blinks really fast like the bulb is burnt out but they are new. The rear ones are working. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

So only the ft blink fast, the rear are normal? Did this occur before replacing the bulbs, assume they are the correct bulbs?

No the blinking sound is fast like you have a light out. The front turn signals doesn’t blink at all but the rear does work. We installed new bulbs in front.

Sounds like a bad signal switch or a pinched wire in the front circuit effectively causing a short and the flasher acts like a circuit breaker, in that case the rear should be affected also. You should look at a wiring diagram to see how the circuits are set up.

Yes the rear is working fine except that they blink fast because the fronts aren’t working. Would a bad switch let the rear work and not let the front?

That usually occurs when there is a short circuit in the ft and as I said, the flasher acts like a circuit breaker, take the front bulbs out one at a time, see how the rear signals act.
