going to change 1952 fleetline over to a 1 wire 6 volt alternator and I see they list positive ground and negative ground ones. they say positive are for 54 and up, these are a replacement for a generator and wondered if anyone has used one and why some are positive ground.

Many 6V cars were positive ground, but Chevrolets were negative ground.
