Hi everyone, the rear quarter door panels on my 2 door bel air stick out as seen in these pictures.
https://imgur.com/a/XgF24Hp
there are no tack nails or anything to secure it to the B pillar. The screw in the picture is only on the driver side and was done at some point decades ago by the previous owner. Does anyone know a good way to fix this gap, either OEM or otherwise?

Looks like the interior panel is missing the metal rails with nails - that use cardboard tacking strips on the edges of the door jamb.

The round red windlace is supposed to be stapled to the cardboard tacking strips separately from the interior panel

Yes you can buy the tack strips but they are only sold as a set of 4 strips with nails( doors and rear 1/4s). Cars Inc sells them also.
You might be able to reuse originals ( I have some used ones).

When I look closer at your pictures I see nails on the interior panel - remove the windlace from interior panel and staple it to your cardboard tack strips ( if you have them on the door jamb??)
After windlace is stapled you pound with your hand the interior panel to the tack strips making sure to hit the tack strip with the nails

You can buy vinyl windlace separately from Cars Inc in the correct color.
