Thinking about installing electric power assist steering on my '51. I have seen some conversion kits and have also heard of units from Subaru or other cars. Anyone had any experience with any of these units. One concern that I have read about is road feel. Any comments?

I am trying to make the car a little more driver friendly so that the wife can drive it. Power brakes are also in the plan.

Any other advice and help appreciated.

Thanks, Pete

I have electric steering on both of my grocery getters, a 2017 Ford Escape and a 2017 Ford C-Max hybrid. I can't tell electric from hydraulic as far as road feel.
