somehow, someway, after an absolutely horid start to that Southern 500 race, Martin Truex squeeks in at the 16th playoff spot...the only driver with no regular season win. After NBC spends all their energy following Bubba and Buscher for who can get that 16th spot, Martin beats them by points.
What a disapointing final season for Truex. He was the "non-win" points leader almost every week thruout the season. Thats saying consistency "without the win".
I feel for the guy. His pit crew and team let him down many times in 2024.

See ya later Martin. Here's to a helluva Nascar career and still being the top "non playoff" points holder in 2024. I hope we see you on TV in the future, in some other capacity that makes you as happy as racing does.
