Installed 1996 S10 rear end w/disk brakes on 1950 Chevy Bel Air. When making turns or the road is bumpy, the disk brakes calipers hit the frame. What can be done to prevent this from occurring?

Not much, raise the rear, the axle is a little too narrow, had that on a 53 car in the shop, with a Ford 9". Also possible that caliper brackets are available that would mount the calipers at the rear or front of there present position if they are on top of the axle.

I had installed the rear disc axle in my 49. You can go to my Flickr page and see what I did. I went to drum axle and thinking about converting it to use the Blazer calipers. I tend to play outside the box!
