CHECK AND SEE If you door jamb switches are working you may have to pull them out and clean them with some steel wool.

Check the bulbs. See if they are burned out or if the fixture is corroded.

If you don't have voltage at the bulb the trouble must lie between the fuse block and the door jamb including the switch.

Turn the headlamp switch to the left all the way and see if the interior lights come on. If they do then your problem is with the switches. Remove them and clean the hole that they are installed in with a file. Then put the switch back into the hole and see if the lights come on.
If you have the switches that screw into the metal, then try pushing them in and out a few times. More often than not, it is the ground not completing the circuit. The wire to the bulbs is hot all the time and the white wire is the gound.

How does it turn on? It’s for a ‘63 2dr hardtop. What switch turns them on? The headlight switch? All the way to the left ? Door jamb switch when the door opens? I have a hot wire when I test it.

Turn the headlight switch all the way to the left and the interior lights should come on. The headlights do not need to on for this test. If they don't illuminate you have a fuse or wiring problem. The interior lights seek a ground through the switches. The wire to the switches is white. The wire to the interior lights is orange and hot at all times. If you are not familiar with automotive electrical systems, then have someone who knows what they are doing give you assistance. It is only 12 volts, but it is enough to set your car on fire.

Orange is hot at all times I got that. The white wire is the ground going to the headlight switch and door jamb switches? The dome light housing is not a grounding source whatsoever correct? My dome lights are literally held on with 1 screw into the body. Is that correct? Thanks it’s bad enough I can’t get the wipers to work these damn dome lights.

It's not the wiper switch that activates the dome lights, its the headlight switch.

I meant headlight switch. I’m having issues with that as well. This car is piece of crap.

Have you checked the bulbs to see if they are burned out? Have you checked the orange wire to see if there is power to it? If you don't have patience to work on a car, then sell it to someone that will have both the knowledge and patience to fix it. If the car has been molested and wiring cut and spliced, then cut your losses and buy new wiring harnesses for the car. Owning an old car can become a money pit, but if you spend money wisely, it will reward you with a fun ride.

Bulbs are good and getting power on orange wire. Door jamb switches are working properly. Switch has been cleaned and turns on fron under dash dome lights but not the backs.

Is your headliner still in the car? If not, maybe you can trace the wiring from the lights back to the origin and see where it's broken or cut. My guess now is you have a broken wire.

I just installed a new headliner. I am getting a hot wire (orange) back there.
