I recently picked up this car but the previous owner had removed the ignition switch to have a key made. My problem is there are 4 wires that need to be reattached but only 3 terminals. The wiring diagrams I have found on line are no help. Can someone set me straight on how to hook it up?

Is it the original switch or is this a mod?
I'm not familiar with the older switch, if it's like my '52 the switch is either On or Off, no accessory position, so one terminal for power the others for ignition, gauges and anything else that goes Off with the key. After finding the power lead you might try to put power on each of the other wires, after checking for a ground issue first, and see what each wire powers up.
And yes, the wiring diagram in my shop manual kinda looks like spaghetti LOL.
