I have a 2012 Impala LT with a V6. The cooling fans are not coming on. All the fuses and relays are good. I didnt think it was the temperature sensor cause the temperature was reading on the temperature guage and on my code reader. Replaced anyway and still the same issue. Put in a new connector when changing to new temp sensor. Inspected the wiring and all in good shape. So if i unplug the connector then the fans come on. You can hear the relay click on when fans come on and click again when fans turn off. So its not the fuses, relays, or temp sensor? What else is there to check? Any help is appreciated.

Pcm programming is set to turn the fans on at about 225 degrees or when using the ac.

On my code reader the temperature got up to 230 degrees. Could a stuck closed thermostat cause fans not to come on?

Only if the t'stat caused an overheat condition, there is no direct connection.
