My new, completely disassembled, 1965 Chevy C10 is coming with a '96 LT-1 350 and a '96 4L60E Trans. The PO tells me it was a 6cyl/MT truck.
Does anyone have experience with this type swap, or know where I might find information?
Failing having specifics of this swap, does anyone know if this size/type motor/trans will require any modifications to the truck. Thanks!

The swap is relatively straight forward. I started with a '65 C10 originally with a 4 speed and 230, which I installed a '65 327 into. At first I kept the 4 speed, then went to a 5 speed, then finally to a 5.3L LS swap with a 4L60E. For starters, the motor mounts from the I6 bolt directly to a small block. The 230 has engine side motor mount brackets that place the motor mounts in the same location as the V8. I did have to get the V8 radiator, hoses and radiator mounts and have a custom exhaust made and a custom driveshaft, but that's generally assumed when you do a swap. I also had to get the automatic crossmember to hold up the rear of the transmission up. You just line up the transmission mount and drill holes to bolt the rear crossmember in that location. Note that I have heard that the 3 speed rear crossmember is the same as the automatic crossmember, so you may not have to do that part if your truck had the 3 speed. To put the 4L60E in the truck, I did have to notch the 4 speed mount crossmember in the truck. In hindsight, I should have just removed it. It's there to provide the bellhousing mounts that are used with the cast iron 4 speed.
As for a shifter, you can either do a floor shifter or a column shifter. They're getting hard to find, but I believe a '67-'72 automatic steering column should work with minimal modifications if you want a column shifter. There are also aftermarket options, but the reviews I've seen are spotty for quality. Floor shifters are another option, and they'll take up room on the floor. For my truck, I just welded a piece of metal over the hole for the 4 speed in the floor when I put in the 4L60E, but you won't have that if it was a 3 on the tree truck. The automatic and 3 speeds did have a different transmission tunnel that is lower and does not have a hole if you can find one. Not necessary, but it's an option to get rid of the hole for the shifter for the 4 speed. The transmission tunnel just unbolts from the cab.
