Hello Camaro people. I am trying to put a number on 1969 SS396 L78 convertibles. My research and calculation says ~342 units.

Chevrolet built 243,085 Camaros for the 1969 model year. Total convertible 1969 Camaro production was 17,573 (7%). L78 X66 SuperSport 396 Camaro production was 4,889 units. Applying a mix of 93% coupe vs 7% convertible there were perhaps
342 1969 SS396 convertible Camaros built.

What say ye?

Thank you in advance.

Hey Brendan, can’t help with your inquiry but good to see you’re still around. Are the boys driving the 55 now days? Ever hear from busyguy8?

Greetings Poobah & Stingray! I've taught the boys how to drive the '55 but I have also hidden the keys. Seriously, it's there for them but both are busy plus one moved to LA.

busyguy8? yes we connect regularly and that usually also includes dinger (James)..I will nudge them both to pop in and say hey.

I'm pretty busy with the classic car appraising and the latest unicorn is a 1969 SS396 convertible. I am trying to find at least 3 data points on the production totals for the 1969 SS396 convertibles and of course I ended up here.

I won't be a stranger and you guys do the same please.
