Hello folks, I'm looking to reduce some of the parts that I've collected over the years and looking for thoughts on current value of:
Complete Power Steering setup for PG car, nothing missing except for the vent tube for driver's side.
NOS Autronic Eye for 53-54 in original box. Also have spare photocell and control box to include.
1957 Two-Ten 4-door Sedan
1953 Bel Air 4-door Sedan
1953 Two-Ten 2-door Hardtop
1959 3800 Pickup
Does it still count as a "barn find" when it's your barn? |

The vent tube on the driver's side is a black flexible hose reinforced with a lightweight spring. 4-1/4" diameter, if my memory is correct. There are some differences between the early '53 and late '53-'54 PS systems. The PS gear is a 2-piece set-up in the early PS.

Has the PS gear been rebuilt? Can you post a picture of what you have?
I've seen prices all over the place, from fair to ridiculous, but no one is giving them away.
As far as the autronic eye, I have no idea, but I'm sure somebody somewhere wants one real bad!

From what I have learned about NOS autronic eyes is that as they age in the box, the original electronics deteriorate and they won't work. Don't know this from 1st hand experience, but this is what I have been told by many others. As for price, $500-$800 would be the range that should find you a buyer. I sold a rebuilt 1962 for $1000 a while ago.
Never argue with an idiot. He'll drag you down to his level, then beat you with experience.

SWMBO's '78 Coupe deVille had one and I hated it--it got confused a lot by street lights.
