there is a guy on facebook with a rear end for sale it is listed under 1955 chevrolet bel air guys name is wesley McCune lives in east liverpool ohio which is west of your location just over the ohio=pa line hope that helps your search

If it is an original '55 Rear, there would be 2 problems there. One is I don't believe the 3.08 was available in '55, the other is that they are not as strong. They were a better built stronger unit starting in '57 or '58.
