I need to paint a small aluminum engine cover using Axalta base . I have some Omni MC 161 clear left over from another project. Can I use this clear over the base.

My paint man told me to never mix brands. He said to use the same brand for everything because different manufacturers use ingredients that will react with each other and the results aren't what you want.I wouldn't take a chance that they may or may not work together.

have mixed brands in past with urethane, urethane bases and urethane clears. Own risk for sure.

Lucky for me no problems mixing the brands on this small job. It worked out ok.

Hello sir. I sent you a private message regarding the 59 impala bathtub clips and special tool. Do you still have the tool? I can’t find one! 🥹
