Searching for solutions to getting rid of mouse Oder, car smelled fine in the pasture. After a night in the garage found I was mistaken. I’ve ripped out the head liner which seemed to be their primary residence. Pretty much gutted the car. Smell seems to be in the metal around where the headliner attaches. Nothing left but metal any ideas?

Give the new product being advertised on TV a try, "pooph".

When I pulled my car out of a barn, it stunk.
I too gutted it.

I found the air ducts, including the fan enclosure, packed with nesting material. Everywhere!

I’ve tried a whole list of products including pooph, going to scrap little bit more in the metal area to make sure I have all the nestle material out. Got some kind of orange product from Walmart that mentioned gets Oder out of trash cans I was hoping that meant metal, also mentioned feed lot smells so maybe that will help.

We’ll think I’ve found the source of the mousey smell, seems it’s coming from the wind lace I believe it’s called. I had thought it was in the metal. So ripping out the wind lace around the doors. Them mice have been into everything. Took the heater out today, in there as well. Trying to figure out how to get the blower motor out now

Try an ozone generator. You can pick up a small one for autos on Amazon for around $30 bucks. Roll up the car windows and let it run for up to an hour with the a/c heater fan on low, so it can also circulate through your vents. Then open up the car and let it air out for a couple of hours.
Just don’t be around it when it’s running, or it will take your breath away. I loaned mine to the neighbor after he hit a skunk with his pickup. His wife couldn’t believe the difference it made.

I’ll probably get me one of those ozone machines, I’ve since taken out the front seats which were rank, seems I room one thing and the Oder almost gets worse, been running a brush best I can up in the v shaped area where the top curves down , blew it all out with an air hose. Still see a thin crust in the channel up there so going to try some dawn dish washing foaming soap that supposedly doesn’t need scrubbing. Rinse it out the hit with the air gun again then use the ozone machine. Only thing left in the car is the back seat maybe I should just pull it out and hit the interior with a pressure washer

I removed the fossilized remains of about 20 of the little critters from my car, peeled out all fabric, and hosed all interior surfaces with Febreze w/a little Dawn in it then let it air dry outside.

I ve been spraying that dawn dish wash soap that foams then scrubbing with a tooth brush wiping out what i can. Thinking of investing in a soda blaster to clean up the rust best i can before i primer it with one of those rust encapsulators. Just when i think i have found all the nests i find more. Under the rear seat floor brackets this time. Only thing left in the car is the back seat. It looked untouched by the mice. But may pull it anyways. Still getting an occasional wiff of urine but need to purge the garage of all the upolister reminets ive pulled out. Talked to an upholister shop owner said dont throw anything away until the new interior is done. Ive been photographing everything and marking where the stuff came from. He said removing the old interior is like an arculogical dig. Sorry for the spelling errors
