My old '95 Jimmy is back. My friend not waiting for me hired a shade tree mechanic. He was chasing a crank no start condition. His solution, change the distributor. Well, it didn't start. When I go check it, the distributor base is completely loose. He didn't have the wrench to tighten it down. Or gave up. First, I fixed the no spark condition. The coil and wires now have spark. When I have free time, I'm going out to reset the timing. The distributor does turn. Wiring order looked correct. I didn't have my fuel pressure tester but I'll check it. I hear the fuel pump running. The Jimmy had a new CPI spider installed shortly I bought it. It should still be good. How forgiving is timing on CPI? The crank bolt felt like a 17mm. Does anyone know the size?
