My 1966 Chevrolet C10 is equipped with the 250 cubic-inch inline six cylinder. After replacing the original carburetor on the truck due to a gas leak, I installed an UREMCO 3-3190 remanufactured one-barrel carburetor I got from Summit Racing. After installing the new carburetor, I let the truck run in my driveway for 20 minutes and saw no problems. I drove the truck down my street for a few minutes and noticed no issues. I then drove the truck around town for about 30 minutes and everything looked fine. The next day, I drove about six miles and parked the truck for about an hour and a half. After starting the truck, it seemed to run sluggish, and then after driving a couple blocks, the truck starting struggling to run and the smell of gas was pretty heavy. I pulled over and opened the hood and the carburetor is spewing gas pretty heavily. I returned the carburetor and got another UREMCO 3-3190 that I have yet to install. Before I do, I wanted to see if anyone has any advice on what could have caused the carburetor to gush gas so heavily.

Usually caused by the needle and seat not sealing, spec of debris gets stuck in it or the float sunk, should have new filters when replacing a carb.
