So just made a deal on two 1928 Chevy sedans, both with titles. A 4 door with new body wood framing and a 2 door with original wood. Parts wise they are complete, except for glass. Both kept under cover in barns out of the weather, but definitely ground up projects. New top and seat upholstery kit for the 4-door My question is where to start.

I am thinking to get a rolling chassis complete first, probably for the 4-door. Although I am not wanting to do a concours restoration, I would like to keep it as close to original as possible. That said, what finish paint on the chassis? Spray gun, or more of a thick coating like a dipped process?
