In a recent post I asked about fastener descriptions for the body to frame bolts on my '63 2-door and Chuck (aka 62sedan) responded with the following wiki page. It was perfect. It had just what I needed.

http://www.gmpartswiki.com/getpage?pageid=8017

But rather than asking Chuck each time, I'd like to learn how to use these pages and how to quickly navigate to the numbers I'm interested in. Thinking this is something that has been addressed before I did a little searching on the site and came up with nothing. (may have missed it, however)

Are there some tricks on how to quickly find the relevant pages for a given PN? Manually flipping from page to page is not fun. :smile :

Thanks.

Brent

Use the factory assembly manual to find the part number, and then use that part number to look up the part. If you don't have the part number, then you need to know the group number to find the part number, and that takes a long time to learn. You could start by looking in the name index, haveerve you need to know what you are looking for. If you look up bolt, then you have to narrow it down to exactly what that bolt holds together.

Never argue with an idiot. He'll drag you down to his level, then beat you with experience.

I figured this out, sort of. But when I tried to find a description of fastener PN: 3795488 I didn't find much.

I put this number into the 'Query String' field of the Wiki search option and the return was areas where the PN was used but I didn't see a description. Did I miss something? Thanks.
