Hi everyone,

I have pulled the heater box and the evaporator housing to replace the leaking heater core and clean the evaporator of dirt and pine needles. There is gasket material on the inside of the evaporator housing that seals the housing to the evaporator. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to use to seal the evaporator to the evaporator housing?

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the site. I’ve done the same thing. A clean box gets rid of odors. Camper to bed rail foam works great. Any excess can be trimmed off. Flat 1” foam insulation works the same way.

Here is another option. Climate control tape. I like to use it around hoses and accumulator. Available at hardware stores.
