I have factory stock wheels 14x5” with bias ply tires. The car wanders significantly. Front end has been completely rebuilt. I have been told that radial tires will solve the problem. I would like to go to a wider tire. Anyone know if wider rims available? Alternatively, what is the widest radial tire I can put on the factory stock rims?

I would suggest before you do anything with tires, look for any looseness in the gear box, steering linkage, suspension components and front end alignment.

Agree. The car was designed for the 'stiffer' side walls of the bias ply tires. The radials will make the wander worse.
Is the suspension/steering configuration OEM/stock?
'Newer' different ratio steering boxes require approx 4 degrees of + caster to have proper 'return-to-center' performance, and to keep the car from 'wandering'. The OEM upper control arms can NOT come close (safely, max is only about + 1 1/2 degree).
