1988 Buick Regal Ltd, 2.8, Auto. Anyone ever had issues reading live data, I hooked up my Modis to this thing and the ecm refuses to connect unless I put in its a 1991 gm something with a 3.1 then it shows me all the live data values. The ecm was changed by a reputable shop years ago with a new ecm, I got this from a buddy this car and i'm trying to diagnose some issues but am curious is this common, I don't recall ever seeing this before.

Welcome to CT, possible wrong prom in the ecu., was programmed for the 91 3.1.
