I noticed right off that the car isn't a Belair. Although in the other vids of his at the right of my computer screen, there is one with this car featured that has a "1950 BELAIR" title over it. When Derek goes into the interior, I spotted the edge of the raised platform behind the front seat that is spot welded to the floor pan. That told me immediately that he's messin' with a 1227B Special Business Coupe. If you watch closely you can make that out on the cowl data plate when he opens the hood and rubs his hand across it.

Funny, I just scanned through that video last night before seeing this post.
A question, did the Belair ever come with the 216 and manual transmission or was it only available with the 235 and Power Glide?

Thanks for posting! I liked the California clip, but I could take only so much of Derek’s dialog, it hurts my brain.

From 1950-1952, it came standard with the 216 and three speed...PowerGlide behind a 235 was an option. In 1953, now called the Sport Coupe, you got a 235 either way, but the PowerGlide 235 was now a full pressure engine; the first Blue Flame Six.

The 50's California video took me back to my early childhood. I'm still smiling from the trip down memory lane.
Thanks for the effort!!
