Does anyone know if the door molding (spear) on a 50 fleetline is the same for a 2dr versus a 4dr?

I believe the 2 door spears are longer than the 4 door spears on all models, as are the doors themselves.

I would suggest contacting suppliers to verify lengths. I did some quick research and the spears are listed under the same number, GM4560098. It appears that the spears are the same over the two years, while the doors are different lengths, 2dr. or 4 dr.

buddhabelly has it correct. There was only one lower outer panel moulding used during 1949-50 on Deluxe models. It didn't matter if the car was a Styleline, Fleetline, 2-Door or 4-Door, left or right....only one is listed. I used a 2 and 4-Door Fleetline as an example. You can see how that one moulding appeared on either length door.

The part number I get from my 1959 Master Parts Catalog however is 3759447. It is listed as 38-1/2" long and 7/8" wide and in 1959 cost $4.80 each.
