My '60 El Camino had the bumper jack mounts and all signs of spare holder removed. I've been deep into this forum and found some great photos, especially one from Alan76, post 2342261. Except for the photobucket banner junk covering up the key item--the spare bolt anchor! I'd sure like 2 good photos of the bracket that spare bolt pivots in. Thanks everyone! Got your email Andy, not sure if you got my reply? I looked and didn’t find any pictures from the back area where the tire mounted. My car was modified to store the spare under the bed between the banana gas tank and the bumper. I sold the 59 10 years ago, what i faintly remember is the bolt that came up and the whole setup was like the one in a sedan with the spare under the rear windshield shelf, except it was vertical on the back wall.

Thanks Don,
What I have is a long bolt in a 45 degree that attaches to the floor by the rear seat receiver cup hole (for the seat that isn't there). instead of a hook though it is a right angle bend at the bottom about 1" long with a flange on its end like the head on a nail. Some photos look like it's through 2 hoops of a short bracket that's welded onto the floor. it can pivot. I think I'm just going to make one since I'm getting little info and even joined my wife to a 59-60 EC group on fb. but no traction there. maybe I'll move up to silver and post a photo or 2. It certainly won't be my last question, and I can show the sad state of my car, owned for 35 years and languishing. Sincerely, Andy
