looking for new aftermarket 1955-1959 CHEVY truck steering column with three on the tree for 3 speed transmission. can you buy one?? does anybody here on Chevy talk have a three on the tree column from any other year that they made to fit a 55-59 chevy truck ?? if so, could you please post or send me a picture of what kind of bracket you used to make it work. Thanks for any help. Also is it possible to even buy a new aftermarket column shifter for a three speed 1955 truck??

I kind of doubt that anyone makes an aftermarket column for a 3 speed manual shift. It sort of defies logic as most guys who would change out the column (at all) are also upgrading transmissions.

What about rebuilding the one you have?

On my 59 apache, I didn't have to rebuild the column itself, but replaced the rubber inserts in the linkage where the shifter arms attach and that made a world of difference in smooth shifting action.
