Hiya folks.
The radiator that was in my truck for the last 20 years since I bought it finally died one too many times.
No one seems to know what the radiator was out of exactly, so I bought a v8 radiator specifically for my 1965 Chevrolet C10.
I also bought some other parts related to the radiator, the baffles, radiator clamp mount, and a shroud and what not.
I am trying to sort out how it all goes together in there.
I am looking for any photos you all might have of your V8 engine compartment and the radiator area for a 1964-1966 Chevrolet C10 to contrast and compare.
So if any of you have blogs, websites or photo albums to link to, please send them my way.

One possibility is that the truck originally had a 6 cylinder and used the 6 cylinder radiator. I bought a '65 back in the '90s and it was remarkably easy to swap from the 6 cylinder to a small block V8. The flywheel, clutch, bellhousing, and motor mounts all swapped directly to the V8. I ran the 6 cylinder radiator for several years before swapping in something I found in a junkyard by making brackets. Anyway, the 6 cylinder radiator and V8 radiator mount in completely different places, and the mounts for the 6 cylinder were rivited to the truck and weren't easy to remove (so I left them there). Recently, I sold my truck to my neighbor and helped him put in the proper radiator. However, it required fabricating the brackets since we couldn't find any stock brackets around. They are pretty simple pieces formed by bending some 1/8" flat bar. Attached is a couple of pictures of the brackets I made.

Thanks for the reply and for sharing the photos jktucker92.
Yeah, during this project I learned about the different locations for the 6 cylinder rad lower down and the v8 rad mount on the saddles, a little higher.
The radiator that was in there was up on those saddle mounts.
I have a new radiator that is supposedly for the 1965 with a V8.
My current problem is the replacement plastic fan shroud is being rubbed on by the fan when I turn.
Not sure if I am not holding my tongue just right when I put the baffles in or what...
Anyone know what fasteners should be used mounting the plastic fan shroud to those metal baffles(those flat-ish panels on each side of the radiator - if they are still there) ?

Sorry, can't help you with the fan. I went with an electric fan this last time with the V8 radiator. In the '90s, I didn't put in a fan shroud, and it worked fine. However, I generally drove at freeway speeds, and never spent much time in traffic on a hot day.
