I spoke with him by phone a few days after the fires broke out. He lives in "upcountry" and wasn't directly affected.
But he was pissed about how/why that fire in Lahaina happened. He had an opinion about the corporate landowners not dealing with overgrowth of brush for many years. Any spark would light it up once it dried out.
I think he's OK though. Keep trying him.
