Have a 1962 impala ss and the "selenium rectifier" is bad any ideas on this or even if it necessary?
any thoughts would be appreciated

I have the air conditioning on my 1962 however, I have never seen the rectifier on my car. You say that yours is bad, so possibly you could tell me where it is located. I remember seeing it in my 1962 air-conditioned Corvair, but I can't remember where it is or what it does. Hopefully, the video will assist you with replacing the OEM part with modern parts.
