I cant pull the hood release. It was difficult, now its impossible, no matter how hard I tug, it wont release the latch. Any suggestions please?

No.I tried everything can think of, thanks for the article, I couldnt understand his tool or where to insert it
I understood cutting the spring......

I am sorry to hear that. I will take a look at my 48 this week and see if I can figure out a tool that will work.
