At this time, I have no service engine light or any current going to the ALDL connector.
I have replaced the ECM, did not solve the problem. Fuses are okay. I have current at the cigarette lighter socket, which is where they tell me the current for the ALDL comes from. I've even replaced the bulb and the holder, to no avail.
Any help finding a fix would be very much appreciated.

Check under the hood and trace the computer wiring harness back to the computer itself.

People fear change because it threatens what they know, or what they claim to know.

Do you know what color the power wire is for the
ALDFL connector on the 2.8L V6?

I found a diagram on autozone's website that has it listed as a Tan/Black wire leading from the ECM to the ALDL connector.

You need to go back and trace power to the ECM. If that is up and running, then the wires to the ALDL is a matter of checking for power and ground.

I do have power to the ALDL Connector, but no current to the Check Engine Light bulb socket.
Is it possible to lose current if the circuit board is not lying down in the proper position where the bulb goes against it? I tried to correct it, but still no current flowing through that bulb socket. Any idea where the problem lies in reference to this problem?

I have seen those printed circuits get to the point that the copper conductive film wears away and you lose the ability to flow current. They used to sell printed circuits if needed.

Remove the cluster and unplug at the main connector at the cluster. Using a wiring diagram, see if you have current coming through the connector. If you do, then the current is being lost in the printed circuit. If no current, go backwards until you find current flowing.

That's the diagnostic process...
