Hello, I'm new to this forum but not to automotive forums or to automotive restoration. I have a 1937 Chevrolet Master Deluxe 4 Door Sports Sedan that I am restoring. I'm having an issue with the fitment of the back seat backrest. The car is missing the trunk divider, but I added just a flat board for now.
While it appears correct when viewed from the interior, it does not sit flat against the panel divider as the metal braces at the back are not completely flat. I don't know if this is the incorrect seat or if it was incorrectly assembled/upholstered. There are a number of other egregious things that have been done by the previous owner, so anything is possible.
I have scoured the internet, every manual I could possibly find for '37-'39 Chevys, and also this forum and have come up empty.
Can anyone provide photos of what the original trunk divider looks like as well as the structure and attachment of the rear seat back as seen from the backside?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Gerard
