Just bought it and I will need to figure out what mid 70'd donor frame it's using. Unfortunately the guy didn't do the work or have much background. Seems like a longer car like a Monte Carlo would be the right length. I have to crawl under and identify it.

Are you sure it’s full frame swap and just not a Nova or Camaro subframe swap or Mustang II set-up? Does it have leaf or coil springs in the rear? Coil would indicate a GM frame, leaf’s would indicate a stock rear frame or possibly an S10 as S10 pickup frames have been used as well in street rods. For reference, a GM frame even from an ‘80’s mid-size like a Malibu or Cutlass is usually too wide between the front and rear axles. Square tubing is usually run and welded from front to rear from where the frame rails kick out on the inside of the stock rails. Once welded, the stock rails are cut off and subsequent holes left are plated over.

I believe you are right. One of my big issues is the rear of the car is too low and the u-bolts seem to be ungodly long. From the attached pics am I crazy to believe removing the block and buying shorter u-bolts should fix the stance in the rear? Mislabeled one of the pics, it's obviously the drivers rear not passenger rear.
