I decided to eliminate the cartridge oil filter from my 41 Chevy with the original 216 engine with the bypass oil pressure system. I went to Deves Tech Net site to get the info and directions. I decided to purchase the WIX 24755 filter adapter and use the WIX 51050 oil filter. I removed the original oil lines, canister and oil filter. Installed the WIX adapter as instructed. But looking at pics with the instructions the rearmost hole in the side of the block (drivers side) I believe is the OUT hole and the hole farther forward would be the IN hole. The adapter is clearly marked IN and OUT. Would the correct way to connect the OUT from adapter to rearmost hole in the of the block and IN from adapter to the forward hole in the block. Or am I incorrect about the engine block holes. If I am can someone tell the correct info. Thanks in advance......Phil

If you are questioning which port is pressure, with the 2 ports open start the car for a moment, see which pumps oil.

If you don't want a huge mess, I'd disconnect the coil and just crank the engine over until you see oil pressure. If you start the engine it's going to make a huge mess before you get it shut down.

Thanks Vall, I use a remote starter button with ignition key off, so it cannot start. Appreciate the feedback.....Phil
