most app books show a length of 18". the pass. side outer end, does not touch the glass last 2", when parked. so I am wondering if a 16" might be better.
that might also help with the wiping driver side problem.
thoughts?

My '95 and '96 had the same issues. I don't remember what size I used. I think I did go down on one of them.
