Our Tahoe is acting like the front diff is engaged yet it's not in 4wd or auto. The steering is kind of heavy and it crow hops on dry pavment. I am 100% sure it's not in 4wd as it does not engage the TC. I've heard it might have something to do with the autowd. Has anyone seen or heard of this issue?
Thank you,
Kazz

That was a common issue on those trucks, the dash switch was one and actuator next.

Finally getting back to this. Drove it today and had it in 4wd because of it snowing for two days. I'm pretty sure it's not the dash switch but I might change it anyways. Since this has auto 4wd, is the actuator just what looks like is on rock auto or is it something special?
Thanks

Seems they don't list anything different, but check with a GM dealer or parts site to confirm.

You need a scan tool to properly diagnose this item. Otherwise, you are tossing parts hoping to hit the bullseye.
People fear change because it threatens what they know, or what they claim to know. |
