Hello all!
I recently began working on a 1965 Bel air 2dr base I purchased awhile ago. 350ci with th350. Projects been slow, but fun.
Anyways, My buddy put a wrench through the windshield so he's paying for the replacement. Once the WS company pulled the old one, the lower tray (dash to cowel) was rusted pretty bad. Modified a goodmark chevelle piece to fit and started welding that in. I'll post pictures of that later.
Question is: there are 2 lower corner pieces that I can't find. About 6" long made of plastic and crumbled away. Picture of where they go is attached. I found the screws and moulding clips, just not these.
Are they even needed, or something from the factory to help associates install?
Any help is appreciated!
Will

Will,
are they something the glass rests on or a type of filler at the corners of the fenders to the cowl (hidden from view when assembled)? Body manual windshield R&I procedure shows only spacers for the glass that I believe are smaller rubber blocks.
There was a post a while ago about some type of filler pieces under the cowl panel where it met the up rear corner of the fender. Much confusion of whether it was needed, what models it came on, etc.

Given the way the windshields were sealed I wonder if they could have not only been positioning blocks but assurance that the window could never creep down.

Sorry, that doesn't seem to work and I can't figure out how to link it but there are 2 posts, both in this 65-66 forum. If you scroll back to page 13 and I think the other is page 15, both about 18 months ago and some pics there

Yeah, windshield stuff can be a pain. Welcome to the forum. As for pics, you need to be a supporting member to be able to post pics with your posts. Click on the link at the top of the page to join, but you can always post a link to a pic hosting page.

Here's a link to the topic Kevin suggested.
https://www.chevytalk.org/fusionbb/showtopic.php?t...
I thought it was helpful because I was thinking of something screwed to the cowl. If the part is the same as the one suggested in the 364134 topic it would be a pretty good candidate for 3D printing a duplicate if you had one to use for measurements.
