Did the 1960 Biscayne have an option for all vinyl seats or were they only available with the cloth inserts?

Prairie Viking, Yes, there was an option for all-vinyl seats for Biscayne models. My "Chevrolet Book of Numbers, Vol. 2, 1953-1964" shows a special trim number for models 60-1211, -1219, and -1221.
Below is the option called-out on an Invoice from a dealer to a Taxi company.
What is your Trim number, and what model is your '60 Chevy? Would you post the Cowl-tag?

I would think with the base model vehicle, destined for fleet and taxi service, that an all vinyl interior would have been available.
How long would anything in fleet service stay together if you used the cloth upholstery?
People fear change because it threatens what they know, or what they claim to know. |

P.V., great photo. I believe the Biscaynes (body style 60-1211 like yours and -1219 four-doors) had the cloth seat inserts, and the option for all-vinyl seating (gray only) was what the cheap Fleetmasters received (styles 60-1411 & -1419). I've never seen a real '60 or '61 Fleetmaster in person. Likely you can find a talented local upholsterer make very plain gray vinyl seat covers and that look like the RPO, or use green vinyl and only a few dozen X-frame enthusiasts in the world would ponder it for a moment. Good luck and enjoy driving your car!

You may want to try SMS Auto Fabrics in Oregon. They just sent me free samples and pricing for a 1959 El Camino. They had kits and sold materials by the yard.
