Guys have let my car sit awhile and want to get it back on the road. Any precautions as to restarting my 383 stroker after 3 yrs. It was running fine just had other priorities these last three yrs. It has a full tank no lead gas with fuel stabilizer in it all these years. Should I take anything loose and drain on the carburetor? It has a 600 Holley with a electric fuel pump. Should I drain oil and filter before starting. I need a new battery so I will buy that. Always have had kinda hard power disc brakes. Think I need more vacuum so I may buy a vacuum guage as well. What would be sufficient vacuum for the brakes to work well? Thank you

new oil, filters and gas. 12 inches of vacuum. pull all the plugs spray some of your favorite magic fluid in the holes and crank it to make sure there is oil pressure. check your belts they may be too hard. probly betters to just replace them after everything starts and checks good.

70 L camino, grampa engine, g-force 5 spd, road rage suspension. Pray first before all else fails.
