I believe that I saw a post regarding a ??57?? seat that has a longer travel than 55-56? (vs mounting the seat farther back...) Did not find such a post using the SEARCH box.
Any info?
Thanks,
(Always wondered why dad's right knee hung so far over the tunnel.... now I know, and I am taller !!)

I just did the seat relocation bracket kit in my '56 sedan.
While searching for such prior to purchasing those brackets I never ran across any info about '57 seat brackets being longer.
Just about any/all posts about the seat relocation brackets no one posted the '57 seat bracket solution.
It would be nice if that was a solution, but I would bet if there were such longer brackets, they would be more expensive than the bracket kit.
The bracket kit is nice depending on where you get it from.
Some are brackets are steel and from other posts some are aluminum.
It actually moves the seat further back than most will need.
Bad thing it does raise the seat up the thickness of the bracket so if head room is an issue, that ΒΌ" might be an issue.

Go to YouTube, search tri five seat bracket, saw one on bench seat that appeared to move seat back based on front mounting bracket.

I'm looking at youtube,
"tri five seat bracket"
I don't see the video about a stock bracket that has more travel.
Which one is it?

I also looked. It was for a bench seat using stock mounting holes. The comment made was the front bracket was longer which moved the seat back about an inch. It did not add seat travel.

im just asking,
"moved the seat back about an inch. It did not add seat travel."
so the bracket itself actually is made so the seat is 1" further back than stock although it is a stock '57 bracket,
surprised no one posted that info

Exactly, the stock mounting holes in front was used, the new bench bracket had a longer front mounting base that moved the seat back.
