my 1994 GMC Sierras wiper blades Get stuck in the upright position. I can pull the wipers off of the windshield and they work great, I can even crab a hold of the wipers when it's running and they pull me around.
So far I've replaced the control board 2 or 3 times, I've replaced the wiper motor, the transmission arms and the wiper stalks.
What am I missing?

I just changed the wiper blades on my '94 GMC Sierra.
There is a notch in the splined bushings that hold the wiper arms onto the wiper motor.
Take the entire wiper arm off and turn it over and you will see the notch. Then look at the wiper motor shaft and you'll see a kind of key on that part that fits into the notch.
Get those lined up when you put the wiper arm back on and you shouldn't have any problems.
