You all know that ugly dip in the front stock sway bar? The one that hangs down in the middle about 4 inches?
There used to be a company called R.B.'s Obsolete Chevy that made a straight one, but they went out of business.
Anybody come up with any solutions. Seems my sway bar is about 43-43.5 inches from eye hole to eye hole.
I need some sort of solution. The roads around here have gone down hill.
Thanks for any advice.

My 51 Belair with a sbc and Fatman front end does not have a ft sway bar, it handles tight curves just fine. I have driven a 53 Chev, same set up, also handles well. Both cars have the CE rear bolt in sway bar, though.

thanks for the lead. i might have to go that route. didn't really want to have to weld behind the crossmember with those mounts. might be my only choice.
To the other posts about it handling fine without a sway bar....
I have original a-arms and shocks and springs and i think the newer custom a-arms don't need a sway. I think they are over-built to where they don't need one.
thanks gang.

The sway bar helps control the body lean. With the design of the vehicle, it is taller and top heavy so I'd want the sway bar.
