Noticed the reason my passenger side door wouldn’t stay aligned was the play in the bottom hinge. I have the hinge pin replacement on hand. Next step is finding a Phillips bit large enough to remove these screws. Anyone know the size?

Are you certain that you problem is the hinge/bushings/pin and not the structure of the lower hinge box the hinge bolts to. This area at the lower hinge is prone to failure from internal rust whereas the upper hinge box is not.

For $34 my local NaPa store sourced a manual impact wrench with the necessary Phillips. After adjusting to left for lousy, between my small sledge hammer and a large one, them dang screws came out! And no harm to thumbs…

No rust issue in sight, thank goodness.

Having an issue removing hinge, which I didn’t expect. Expect to find worn bushing.

Appreciate all comments

I have used an air impact turned all the way down (and being careful on the trigger) with reducers and a Phillips bit with great success. I don’t think I have ever failed to remove a screw that way as long as the impact fits in where needed.
