Hi all,
I lost my 2012 Chevy C6. I called the auto locksmiths and they told me i have to tow the car there. also, they said something about $495 for a replacement..
Seems a bit pricy for me.
Any ideas?
Thanks

The vehicle is not a 1972 model. I would suggest you have it towed to the dealer rather than have someone patch together a key for it.

For a Mercedes, if you lose the key, you need to have the vehicle physically present at the dealer, pay for a new key FOB, have it programmed and show proof of ownership before anyone even gets out of bed

People fear change because it threatens what they know, or what they claim to know.

I only got one original key with my 2006 HHR. A dealer wanted my car at the dealership and it would be $45.00. I bought a new key and FOB for $7.50 on eBay and a key shop cut it for me for nothing. Put the old key in the ignition and turned it on. Then removed it and put the new key in the ignition and turned it on. Waited 5 minutes and the key was coded for the car. Opens the doors and starts the engine. Not bad.

Any man that thinks he is too old to learn new things, probably always was....
