Hello all,
I'm helping a friend with his 2008 Malibu with a 3500.

Codes : P0455

Symptoms : Check engine light. Stinks of gas after filling up for a day or so but then that fades.

I replaced the vapor purge valve and cleared codes but the problem remained.

What should my next steps be? I'm guessing the canister may be cracked, or the lines going to it?

A quick Google search for that code shows a step by step repair analysis.

Try using a refrigerant leak detector to trace down the fuel leak area. The detector basically alerts you to the absence of oxygen and the fuel vapors will displace oxygen.

That will give you some area to search.

People fear change because it threatens what they know, or what they claim to know.
